Hours & Admission for all WRHS Sites

 The Western Reserve Historical Society operates seven historical properties in northeast Ohio. For more information about the sites, please click on their links.

University Circle Location

Museum Hopping Made Easy!
Visitors can purchase any admission ticket to Cleveland Botanical Garden, The Western Reserve Historical Society, Cleveland Museum of Art, or the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and receive a $2.00 off discount on general admission at the other institutions. The discount will be honored for one week from the date of the original admission receipt and can be redeemed for up to four guests.

You'll discover our showcase of Northeast Ohio's cultural history.  Exhibitions, The Chisholm Halle Costume Wing and rare artifacts for you to discover.  Our Chisholm Halle Costume Collection is one of the top-ranked costume collections in the nation, showcasing garments from the late 1700s to the present.

The History Museum is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $8.50 for adults, $7.50 for seniors and $5.00 for students and includes entry to the History Museum, Library and Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum. The fee to park in the museum lot is $8.

Showcasing nearly 200 antique, vintage, and classic automobiles and aircraft ranging from model T's to modern-day Jaguars. 

The Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum is open Monday through Saturday, 10a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $8.50 for adults, $7.50 for seniors, and $5.00 for students. Members of the WRHS and children 2 years and younger are admitted free. The admission fee includes entry to the History Museum, Library and Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum. A principal repository for histories, records, and papers relating to the growth and development of Cleveland and the Western Reserve. Many patrons visit to learn about their family's history; and important archival collections include urban, African American, ethnic, Jewish, and Labor histories.

The Library is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Closed on Mondays and Sundays. Admission is $8.50 for adults, $7.50 for seniors, and $5.00 for students. There is also a 3-month student pass available for $10. Members of the WRHS and children 2 years and younger are admitted free. The admission fee includes entry to the History Museum, Library and Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum. The fee to park in the museum lot is $8. 

All library users must sign in at the Library Registration Desk and present two forms of identification such as Driver's License, School ID, Social Security card, Work ID, etc. Members must present current membership card. Manuscript readers must complete additional paperwork.

Hale Farm & Village  More >

An outdoor living history museum featuring life and crafts from the mid-1800s. It includes farm animals, pastures, and historic houses with historical interpreters dressed in period costume.

Hale Farm & Village is open for visitation!

General admission:

$14.50 for adults,
$12.50 for seniors with Golden Buckeye Cards only,
$7.50 for children 3 - 12 years of age.
Members of the WRHS and children 0-2 years old are admitted free.

Group admission rates for self-guided tour (15 or more guests) are $13 for adults, $11 for seniors, $6 for children ages 3-12 and children under 3 are admitted free. Advanced registration is required for all groups. Special guided tours are available at an additional rate. Special admission rates are $4.50 for handi-capped/mentally challenged adults, $4.50 for handicapped/mentally challenged children, $4.50 for chaperones (varies), and wheelchairs are no charge.

Shandy Hall  More >

In Unionville, is one of the oldest structures in the region, built by the Harper family in 1815.

Shandy Hall is open by appointment only.

Loghurst  More >

Built in 1805 in Canfield, is thought to be the oldest dwelling in the Western Reserve.
