Collections
The mission of the Western Reserve Historical Society is to preserve and present the history of all the peoples of Northeast Ohio. Our diverse collection of artifacts and archives reflects this mission. What's in the WRHS Collections Catalog? This catalog is a work in progress, growing as items are added to the collections. At the present time, the Archives/Library major manuscripts collections, picture groups, books, serials and newspaper titles are fully represented. Manuscript vertical file items are yet to be added. Nearly all of the History Museum's collections, as well as items for James A. Garfield National Historic Site, are in the catalog. Newspaper issues holdings are being added on an ongoing basis. Records for microfilm of the U.S. Census schedules and Soundex are also included.
