Tuesday, December 16, 2008 Registration deadline for Eternal Rome & Wonders of Vatican City A fully guided tour of the historical sites of Rome
The Western Reserve Historical Society invites you to experience the Wonder of the Vatican and Rome first hand! As a known aficionado of everything Roman, your host, Fr. Mark Latcovich, PhD is the ideal host to lead this unique voyage to the city of Rome. The trip will take us thru the various historical dimensions of the city from the ancient roman and pre-roman era through the birth of Christianity and its growth under Emperor Constantine. We’ll explore the connections between faith, art, and architecture as we wander the streets of the Papacy, and the neighborhoods of the Campo dei Fiori. We’ll mingle with the Artisans and the Bourgeoisie that gather around the Piazza Navona. The little known Tresterere area and the old Jewish Ghetto will reveal their secrets during our walking tours and independent strolls through the city. Fr. Mark Latcovich recently returned from a sabbatical in Rome and is delighted to share his discoveries and personal connections as we take daily coach and walking tours that allow access to churches, museums, and historical artifacts never seen on most tours of Rome. Space is limited so we encourage you to contact the Kollander Travel group department today! More >
