Why not consider an in-school field trip?  Outreach programs provide a cost-effective field trip alternative.  Bring a Hale Farm presenter to your class.

For reservations, call 1-330-666-3711 ext. 230, halereservations@wrhs.org

Grades K-3 You’re History

Explore the life of a child in the mid-1800s with this highly interactive program. Students learn to “make their manners”, play with 1800s toys and discover how children dressed.

Grade 3  Communities!

Students use maps, documents, and other historic materials to learn how communities change over time, then take part in a game show to share what they have learned.

Grades 4-8  At Home in Ohio in 1861

Invite one of our First Person Interpreters into your classroom to play the role of a local Ohioan during the first year of the Civil War. What does Mrs. Major Lewis Buckley have to say about her husband's volunteer regiment? What is she doing to help? How does war affect the homefront? Or, what does Dr. Pierson have to say about the injuries, diseases, and their remedies at this time? Does he have any idea on how to stop infections?
